Cross Country Championships

Men's Team Scores - The University of Cincinnati won the men's championship, edging defending champion Kent by a score of 50-67. The Bearcats placed 5 runners in the top 17 finishers. Malone won its fourth straight Division II/NAIA title and Kenyon won the Division III title.

Women's Team Scores - The Kent women won their third straight All-Ohio championship, placing 5 runners in the top 20 to defeat Toledo, 59-89. Cedarville won the Division II/NAIA title and Baldwin-Wallace won the Division III crown.

Men's Individual Results - Cincinnati's Chris Reis won individual honors for the second straight year. Reis' time of 25:19.2 was over 20 seconds better than that of runner-up Daniel Kibungei of Malone, who was the 1999 All-Ohio individual champion but did not compete last year.

Women's Individual Results - Akron's Bobbie Hardbarger won individual honors in 17:58.8, nipping Kent's Coleen Harrison by less than 5 seconds. Hardbarger finished second in 2000. Two-time defending individual champion Everlyne Lagat of Malone did not compete.
