Ohio Wesleyan 10, LaGrange 6 (2/23/2002)

Senior outfielder Shaun Rice (Dublin/Columbus Watterson) slapped a 2-run single to highlight a 4-run eighth inning that broke open a win over LaGrange on Saturday in LaGrange, Ga.

The Bishops had taken a 1-0 lead on a single by senior outfielder Michael Hershberger (Massillon/Canton Central Catholic) in the second and added runs on RBI hits by Rice, senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) and sophomore third baseman Andy Busch (Westerville/South) in the third.

Rice drove in 3 runs and had 2 hits, while junior outfielder Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) had 3 hits and scored twice. Junior shortstop Seth Tenpenny (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne) scored 3 runs.

Senior righthander Curt Moenter (Delphos/St. John) scattered 5 hits over the first 6.0 innings, striking out 6, to claim the win.
