Ohio Wesleyan 7, LaGrange 5 (2/24/2002) Senior outfielder Shaun Rice (Dublin/Columbus Watterson) and senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) drove in ninth-inning runs to break a 5-5 tie and lift the Bishops over LaGrange on Sunday in LaGrange, Ga. Sophomore third baseman Andy Busch (Westerville/South) put the Bishops ahead, 2-0, with a first-inning RBI double, but LaGrange rallied for 3 runs to take the lead after 4 frames. Rice and Caravella drove in fifth-inning runs as Ohio Wesleyan jumped to a 4-3 lead, and added a run on Rice's solo homer in the seventh, but the Panthers answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 5-5. Junior outfielder Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) opened the ninth with a single, then scored on a Rice triple. Caravella followed with an RBI single for a 7-5 Bishop lead. Rice drove in 3 runs and had 3 hits, while Caravella was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI. Loudenslager had 3 hits and scored 3 runs and sophomore third baseman Tyler Mott (Grove City) had 2 hits. Sophomore lefthander Michael Myers (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) picked up the win in relief. Junior righthander Shaun Burchett (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) worked the final inning for his first save of the season. Back
