Ohio Wesleyan 8, Lakeland 2 (3/9/2002)

Senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) and junior outfielder Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) each cracked home runs to help the Bishops top Lakeland (Wis.) in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic on Saturday in Cape Coral, Fla.

Loudenslager and junior outfielder Travis Falk (Bryan) each ripped 2-run singles during a 4-run fourth that put the Bishops ahead to stay.

Senior lefthander Matt Farmwald (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) was credited with the win. Farmwald, sophomore righthander Tyler Mott (Grove City) and junior righthander Shaun Burchett (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) combined to strike out 15 batters.
