Ohio Wesleyan 13, Transylvania 3 (3/10/2002)

Junior catcher Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) and senior outfielder Shaun Rice (Dublin/Columbus Watterson) each went 2-for-3 to help the Bishops top Transylvania (Ky.) in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic on Sunday in Cape Coral, Fla. The game was called after 7 innings because of the tournament's run rule.

Burnett drove in 2 runs and Rice scored twice. Senior infielder Matt Fortuna (Strongsville/St. Edward) also collected 2 hits and senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) drove in 3 runs.

Senior righthander Curt Moenter (Delphos/St. John's) struck out 9 over the first 6.0 innings to record the win.
