Ohio Wesleyan 19, Virginia Wesleyan 5 (3/12/2002) Senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) and junior shortstop Seth Tenpenny (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne) tied school records in a non-conference win over Virginia Wesleyan in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic on Tuesday in Cape Coral, Fla. Caravella tied a school record with 5 hits in the game. He slammed 2 home runs and drove in 7 runs, the latter tying for fourth on the all-time single-game list. Tenpenny tied a school record with 3 doubles and drove in 3 runs while going 4-for-6. Sophomore outfielder Mike Albert (Shelby) added a solo homer among his 3 hits and senior infielder Matt Fortuna (Strongsville/St. Edward) also had 3 hits. Sophomore lefthander Michael Myers (Columbus/Dublin Scioto) recorded the win, working the first 7.2 innings and striking out 7, to raise his record to 2-0. Back
