Ohio Wesleyan 22, Messiah 1 (3/15/2002)

Senior righthander Curt Moenter (Delphos/St. John's) took a no-hitter into the eighth inning as the Bishops defeated Messiah in non-conference action in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic on Friday in Cape Coral, Fla.

Moenter gave up a one-out single in the eighth and then yielded to sophomore lefthander Mike Grady (North Canton/Hoover), who got the last 5 outs for the Bishops. Moenter struck out 12 and walked 1 in raising his record to 3-0.

Sophomore outfielder Byron Lowe (Medford, Mass./Cambridge Ridge) highlighted the Bishop offense by going 2-for-2 with 5 RBI.
