Ohio Wesleyan 9, Tiffin 4 (3/19/2002)

Junior outfielder Shaun Rice (Dublin/Columbus Watterson) drilled an RBI double and sophomore third baseman Tyler Mott (Grove City) followed with a 2-run double to fuel a 3-run first inning that started the Bishops past Tiffin in the opener of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Littick Field in the Bishops' home opener.

Senior first baseman Drew Caravella (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) smashed a grand slam in the second inning and Loudenslager and Caravella drove in runs in the fourth to complete the Bishop scoring.

Loudenslager finished with 2 hits and 3 runs scored, while Caravella was 1-for-1 with 5 RBI. Junior catcher Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) also had 2 hits.

Senior lefthander Matt Farmwald (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) scattered 6 hits over the first 5.0 innings to pick up the mound decision.
