Ohio Wesleyan 9, Tiffin 4 (3/19/2002)

Sophomore second baseman Chad Marlatt (Coshocton/Ridgewood), senior second baseman Matt Fortuna (Strongsville/St. Edward) and junior shortstop Seth Tenpenny (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne) drove in second-inning runs to stake the Bishops to a 3-0 lead and junior outfielder Shaun Rice (Dublin/Columbus Watterson) blasted a grand slam in the sixth inning to lift the Bishops over Tiffin in the nightcap of a doubleheader on Tuesday at Littick Field in the Bishops' home opener.

Junior catcher Mike Schultheis (Columbus/Watterson) had 2 hits and scored twice for the Bishops.

Senior righthander Curt Moenter (Delphos/St. John's) pitched 2-hit ball over the first 5.0 innings, striking out 7, to pick up the mound decision.
