Ohio Wesleyan 3, Kenyon 2 (9/22/2001) Junior midfielder Danielle Stilson (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron) and senior forward Kristin Beveridge (Hudson) converted penalty strokes during a flick-off to lift Ohio Wesleyan over Kenyon in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday at the Henry Street Field. The Bishops had wiped out an early 1-0 deficit and taken a 2-1 lead early in the second half. Senior midfielder Kim Dubovec (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) set up freshman forward Ann Capute (Easton, Md.) for her first collegiate goal to even the game at 1-1 with 13:30 left in the first half. Dubovec then scored her first collegiate goal to give the Bishops a 2-1 lead with 26:30 left in regulation time. Kenyon sent the game into overtime when Anne Huntoon knocked a pass from Susanna Frazer just inside the left post with 21 seconds remaining in regulation time. Both teams had good chances to score in the first overtime. The Bishops broke up a Kenyon 3-on-1 midway through the period. Later, senior midfielder Lianne Preville (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) broke in 1-on-1 against Kenyon keeper Tamar Chalker, but Preville's shot was wide. Chalker then made a save on a shot by Beveridge on a 2-on-1 break late in the period. The second overtime belonged to the goalkeepers, with Chalker breaking up a Bishop 2-on-1 about 5 minutes into the period and Bishop senior Jody Dickinson (Dublin/Coffman) preserving the tie with a timely kick save after Kenyon's Maggie Hill had the ball alone in front of the cage with less than 3 minutes to play. The flick-off had 5 players from each team take penalty strokes at the other team's goalkeeper. Dickinson made 3 saves and Chalker stopped 1 shot. Dickinson finished with 9 saves in the Bishop cage. Chalker finished with 11 saves for Kenyon. Ohio Wesleyan outshot the Ladies, 16-15. Back
