Ohio Wesleyan 2, Oberlin 1 (10/4/2001)

Freshman forward Meredith Bynum (Winston-Salem, N.C./Forsyth Country Day) set up the tying goal and scored the game-winner as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Oberlin in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Thursday in Oberlin, Ohio.

Oberlin had taken a 1-0 lead with a first-half goal by Jaime Johnson.

Bynum set up freshman forward Lila Barzegar (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) for her first collegiate goal early in the second half to even the game at 1-1.

Bynum then scored with 2:40 left in regulation time to put the Bishops ahead to stay.

Senior Jody Dickinson (Dublin/Coffman) finished with 5 saves in the Bishop cage. Pamela Walker stopped 2 shots and Ilana Turoff had 1 save for Oberlin.
