Ohio Wesleyan 2, Denison 1 (10/6/2001)

Senior midfielder Liza Kamke (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ottawa Hills (Ohio)) scored with 3:13 left in regulation time to lift Ohio Wesleyan over Denison in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday at the Henry Street Field.

After the teams battled to a scoreless tie at halftime, Denison had taken a 1-0 lead midway through the second half on a goal by Sarah Lowell.

The Bishops evened the score when junior forward Jessica McElmurray (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) set up senior midfielder Lianne Preville (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) with 14:22 left in regulation time.

Kamke's goal then provided the winning margin and marked the fourth consecutive game in which Ohio Wesleyan had spotted its opponent a 1-0 lead and then recorded a come-from-behind win.

Senior Jody Dickinson (Dublin/Coffman) was credited with 4 saves in the Bishop cage. Abigail Stewart had 2 saves in the first half and Sarah Robator had 3 saves in the second half for Denison.
