Ohio Wesleyan 4, Kenyon 2 (10/20/2001) Senior midfielder Kim Dubovec (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) scored with 13:27 left in the first half to put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay in a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Kenyon on Saturday in Gambier. Dubovec had set up junior forward Jessica McElmurray (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) on a goal just 3:15 into the game as Ohio Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead. Kenyon answered with a pair of goals by Lindsey Jones, both assisted by Julia Wickham, less than 2 minutes apart. The second, coming with 26:38 remaining in the first half, gave the Ladies a 2-1 advantage. Freshman forward Lila Barzegar (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) evened the game at 2-2 with 23:02 left in the half when she steered a shot past Kenyon keeper Tamar Chalker. Dubovec's goal then gave the Bishops the lead for good and freshman forward Meredith Bynum (Winston-Salem, N.C./Forsyth Country Day) finished up the scoring with a goal with 4:32 left in regulation time. Bishop goalkeeper Jody Dickinson (Dublin/Coffman) stopped 14 shots. Chalker was credited with 2 saves in the Kenyon cage. The Ladies outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 18-11. Back
