2nd of 15 at Wooster Invitational (4/19-20/2002) Sophomore Chad Poling (Delaware/Hayes) led the Bishops to a second-place finish at the Wooster Invitational held on Friday and Saturday at Wooster Country Club in Wooster. Trailing by 9 strokes after the first round, Ohio Wesleyan closed the gap to 1 shot but Otterbein held on to nip the Bishops for the team title. Otterbein finished with a 610 and Ohio Wesleyan ended up at 611. Denison finished in third place at 613, followed by Muskingum (620), Wooster (622), Baldwin-Wallace (626), DePauw (627), Wittenberg (629) and John Carroll and Mount Union (635). Hope finished in 11th place at 636, followed by Wabash (668), Heidelberg (684), Kenyon (700) and Oberlin (736). Poling tied for third place among individuals with a 148. Junior Jay Tilton (Cincinnati/Windon Woods) tied for eighth place with a 151, senior Jason Job (Akron/Revere) tied for 16th place at 155, junior Jeremy Meade (Wayland, Mass.) tied for 20th place with a 157 and junior Jonathan Wilson (Dayton/Vandalia-Butler) tied for 44th place at 164.
