Chicago 77, Ohio Wesleyan 70 (11/18/2001) Sophomore guard Shawn Kindred (Delaware/Hayes) had 9 points to lead a Bishop comeback, but host Chicago put the game away at the free throw line in the consolation game of the Chicago Midway Classic on Sunday at Chicago. Trailing, 46-34, with 14:58 to play, Kindred led the Bishops back to within a single point at 56-55 with 6:27 left to play. Ohio Wesleyan trailed by 1 point on 2 other occasions and by 2 points 2 other times. Freshman forward Brandon Cole (Sidney) hit a pair of free throws to bring the Bishops within 69-67 with 1:25 to play, but the Maroons put the game away at the free throw line, going 6-for-7 in the final 1:02 seconds to pad a 2-point lead to 8. Kindred led the Bishops with 26 points, Cole finished with 16 points and shared the team lead with 7 rebounds, and Schwab scored 13 points. Junior guard Jason Dopoulos (Strongsville) scored 9 points, shared the team lead with 7 boards and dished out a team-high 5 assists. Kindred represented the Bishops on the all-tournament team. Back
