Wisconsin-Whitewater 74, Ohio Wesleyan 65 (12/28/2001) Londen Donlow drilled a pair of 3-pointers to fuel an 11-2 run for Wisconsin-Whitewater early in the second half and the Warhawks went on to defeat the Bishops in the first round of the Albion Chamber Classic tournament on Friday at Albion College in Albion, Mich. Albion defeated Dominican (Ill.), 72-45, in the other first round game. Ohio Wesleyan will play Dominican in the consolation game while Albion and Wisconsin-Whitewater will square off in the tournament championship game. After a nip-and-tuck first half ended with the Warhawks leading, 31-27, the Bishops closed to within 2 points on a basket by sophomore center Travis Schwab (Medina) :10 into the period. But Donlow sank a 3-pointer 10 seconds after that, starting the Warhawk run, and later capped the burst with a 3-pointer, giving Whitewater a 42-31 lead with 17:02 left in the game. Freshman forward Seth Rhea (Delaware/Hayes) answered with a 3-pointer to bring the Bishops within 8, but despite a handful of rallies later in the half, Ohio Wesleyan would come no closer. Schwab led the Bishops with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guard Jason Dopoulos (Strongsville) followed with 10 points and shared the team lead with 3 assists, while sophomore guard Shawn Kindred (Delaware/Hayes) also had 3 assists. Aubrey Lewis-Byers led Wisconsin-Whitewater with 16 points and 5 rebounds, while Donlow had 15 points and Jake Wolter contributed 12. Back
