Ohio Wesleyan 70, Dominican 62 (12/29/2001)

Sophomore center Travis Schwab (Medina) led a balanced Bishop offense as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Dominican (Ill.) in the consolation game of the Albion Chamber Classic tournament on Saturday at Albion College in Albion, Mich.

Ohio Wesleyan was on fire during the first half, shooting 60 percent from the field (15-25), including 64.3 percent from 3-point range (9-14). But the Stars were able to stay in the game, trailing 38-32 at the intermission despite shooting just 35.5 percent (11-31) from the field during the first half.

Despite warming up in the second half, Dominican was not able to overcome the deficit.

Schwab led the Bishops with 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, sophomore guard Shawn Kindred (Delaware/Hayes) followed with 15 points and led the Bishops with 6 assists, and freshman forward Seth Rhea (Delaware/Hayes) added 12 points. Freshman forward Brandon Cole (Sidney) led the Bishops with 7 rebounds.

Patrick Clarke led Dominican with 23 points, the only Stars player in double figures.
