5th of 7 at Otterbein (9/22/2001)

Freshman Mike Synk (Strongsville) led the Bishops at the Otterbein Invitational on Saturday at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

Mount Union won the meet with 37 points to 48 for runner-up Baldwin-Wallace. Otterbein was third with 57 points and Ohio Northern placed fourth with 91 points. Ohio Wesleyan (142), Columbus State (187) and Capital (195) completed the team scores.

Synk finished 26th in 28:16. Freshman Paul Loehle (Fairfield/Hamilton Badin) placed 33rd in 28:36, freshman Bill Bedford (Strongsville) followed in 34th place in 28:38, freshman Christopher Monaco (Mayfield Heights/University) was 47th in 29:27 and junior Michael Clinton (Troy, Mich.) completed the Bishop scoring with a 52nd-place finish in 30:01.
