25th of 31 at NCAA Division III Regional (11/10/2001) Freshman Tom Woodcock (Louisville, Ky./St. Francis) led the Bishops at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meet on Saturday at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. Calvin won the meet, sweeping the first 4 places and finishing with 28 points to 72 for runner-up Mount Union. DePauw placed third with 138 points and Kenyon was fourth with 146 points, followed by Heidelberg (163), Case Reserve (213), Wooster (248), Anderson (251), Wabash (255), Hope (269), Kalamazoo (294), Otterbein (299), Baldwin-Wallace (303), Oberlin (346), Albion (374), John Carroll (391), Muskingum (515), Wilmington (561), Earlham (573), Hanover (584), Denison (587), Manchester (607), Alma (628), Wittenberg (642), Ohio Wesleyan (693), Adrian (729), Hiram (732), Defiance (784), Olivet (785), Franklin (801) and Rose-Hulman (873). Ohio Northern did not post a team score. Woodcock finished 113th among individuals in 28:11.8. Freshman Paul Loehle (Fairfield/Hamilton Badin) was 130th in 28:32.0, freshman Bill Bedford (Strongsville) placed 145th in 28:51.5, freshman Mike Synk (Strongsville) finished 155th in 28:59.2 and junior Matt Mead (Dunkirk, N.Y./Fredonia Central) completed the Bishop scoring with a 160th-place finish in 29:10.9. Also representing the Bishops were junior Mike Clinton (Troy, Mich.), who finished 161st in 29:12.2; and freshman Christopher Monaco (Mayfield Heights/University), who was 163rd in 29:13.9. Back
