Case Reserve 90, Ohio Wesleyan 73 (11/20/2001) Freshman wing Kelly Heil (Sylvania/Southview) turned in one of the best single-game performances in Ohio Wesleyan history, but it wasn't enough to keep Case Reserve from taking a non-conference win on Tuesday in Cleveland. Heil scored 33 points, tying for sixth place on the Ohio Wesleyan single-game scoring list. Her 33-point performance was the second-best by a Bishop freshman, trailing only the 38 points that Arden Kragalott scored against Baldwin-Wallace in 1978. Heil opened the scoring with a 3-pointer just :08 into the game and added 5 more points and sophomore guard Krystal Sensabaugh (Wapakoneta) drilled a 3-pointer as the Bishops jumped to an early 11-4 lead. But the Spartans pecked away, taking the lead at 14-13 on a jumper by Keesha Allen with 12:40 left in the first half and riding a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer by Dawn Bialosky to build the lead to 23-15 with 10:14 remaining. Ohio Wesleyan came back with a 9-0 run, taking the lead on a jumper by freshman post Shelby Larson (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows) with 7:09 left, but CWRU answered with a 14-4 burst that gave the hosts a 35-26 edge with 4:36 to play. The Bishops stayed close well into the second half, trailing, 44-38, with 16:32 to play, but back-to-back 3-pointers from Angie Zeuch and Allen in the next minute gave the Spartans breathing room and Case did not lead by fewer than 11 points during the remainder of the contest. Sensabaugh followed Heil's effort with a career-high 12 points. Senior guard Elizabeth Edinger (Toledo/Whitmer) led the Bishops with 7 rebounds and Heil grabbed 6 boards. JeNine Nickerson led CWRU with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Back
