Ohio Wesleyan 63, Oberlin 46 (12/1/2001) Freshman wing Kelly Heil (Sylvania/Southview) scored 7 points to cap a 14-2 run that broke open a win over Oberlin in the North Coast Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Saturday at Oberlin. Ohio Wesleyan led, 15-10, with 8:15 left in the first half, when senior post Katy Sturtz (Worthington/Columbus Watterson) started the burst with a bucket and a free throw. Senior guard Michelle Wolfe (Gahanna/Lincoln) followed with a basket, as did Heil and junior post Mindy Hammond (Columbus/DeSales), before a 3-pointer and another hoop by Heil capped the run and gave the Bishops a 29-12 lead with 2:49 left in the first half. Oberlin did not come closer than 11 points during the remainder of the game. Heil led the Bishops with 21 points. Hammond followed with 11 points and team bests of 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Sturtz added 11 points and 12 boards. Malisha Richardson led Oberlin with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Back
