at NCAA Division III Regional Championship (11/10/2001)

Freshman Erin Eilbeck (Berea) and freshman Kim Rybold (Strongsville) represented the Bishops at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional championship meet on Saturday at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Calvin won the meet with 26 points, taking 4 of the first 6 places, to 83 for runner-up Baldwin-Wallace. Mount Union placed third with 158 points and DePauw was fourth with 166 points, followed by Kenyon (204), Kalamazoo (240), Denison (259), Otterbein (285), Hanover (293), Hope (325), Heidelberg (341), Oberlin (367), Case Reserve (368), Muskingum (396), Anderson (398), Earlham (402), Wittenberg (402), Wooster (436), Manchester (439), Adrian (449), Franklin (488), Wilmington (525), Alma (583), St. Mary's (605), Albion (678), John Carroll (695) and Rose-Hulman (789). Defiance, Hiram, Mount St. Joseph, Ohio Northern, Ohio Wesleyan and Olivet did not post team scores.

Eilbeck placed 130th among individuals in 20:40.7, while Rybold finished 191st in 22:36.5.
