Chowan 14, Ohio Wesleyan 5

Chowan came up with 11 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to top Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action on Sunday in Fort Myers, Fla.

Ohio Wesleyan had broken a 3-3 tie with solo home runs by senior third baseman Mark Wherry (Dublin/Scioto) in the fifth and junior catcher Mike Schultheis (Columbus/Watterson) in the sixth.

Freshman righthander Michael Krieger (Boardman), who had kept the Braves in check through the first 5 innings, tired in the sixth. Freshman lefthander Josh Nice (Hinckley/Highland) came on in relief and was charged with the loss.

Senior outfielder Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) went 2-for-3 to highlight the Bishop offense.
