Dallas 16, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Dallas used an 8-run third inning to break open a non-conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Monday in Cape Coral, Fla.

Ohio Wesleyan had scored in the top of the third inning to come within 2-1. Senior shortstop Joe Deck (Waverly) walked and moved to third when senior outfielder Travis Falk (Bryan) reached on a Crusader error. Freshman outfielder Adam Toney (Galloway/Westland) then plated Deck with a sacrifice fly.

The Crusaders then erupted for 8 runs in the bottom of the third and added 3 more runs in the fifth.

Junior lefthander Mike Grady (North Canton/Hoover) was the starting and losing pitcher. Grady struck out 5 and walked 6.

Senior first baseman Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, to lead the Bishop offense.
