Lakeland 5, Ohio Wesleyan 3

Ryan Govek hit a 2-run home run in the 10th inning that lifted Lakeland (Wis.) over Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference play on Tuesday in Cape Coral, Fla.

The Bishops had rallied back to tie the game at 3-3 in the last of the eighth inning as senior first baseman Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) blasted his fourth home run of the spring trip, but Govek was able to connect for the game-winning hit against freshman righthander Adam Dunn (Westerville/Worthington Christian).

The Bishops, ranked No. 13 in the preseason American Baseball Coaches Association Division III poll, got out to a 2-1 lead on an RBI single by Burnett and a sacrifice fly by junior first baseman Tyler Mott (Grove City).

Lakeland, ranked No. 19 in the preseason poll, scratched back against junior righthander Andy Busch (Westerville/South). The Muskies scored a run in the top of the fourth and fifth innings in taking a 3-2 advantage.

Burnett had 2 hits to lead the Bishop offense.
