Ohio Wesleyan 13, Babson 6

Senior first baseman Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) blasted a 3-run homer to spark a 4-run fifth inning that helped Ohio Wesleyan over Babson in non-conference action on Saturday in Cape Coral, Fla.

Junior first baseman Tyler Mott (Grove City) had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs, while senior outfielder Travis Falk (Bryan) and junior catcher Mike Schultheis (Columbus/Watterson) also drove in 2 runs apiece. Junior outfielder Mike Albert (Shelby) had 2 hits and junior second baseman Brad Whitman (Canfield) contributed an RBI double.

Senior righthander Shaun Burchett (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) worked the first 6.0 innings and claimed the win for Ohio Wesleyan. Junior righthander Byron Lowe (Medford, Mass./Cambridge Ridge) finished up on the mound.
