Ripon 10, Ohio Wesleyan 4

Ripon broke open a close game with 5 runs in the bottom of the sixth and went on to defeat Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday in Fort Myers, Fla. The game was the finale of the Bishops' annual spring trip.

Ripon opened the scoring with 3 runs in the second off freshman righthander Adam Dunn (Westerville/Worthington Christian).

Senior first baseman Bo Burnett (Powell/Olentangy) cracked a solo homer in the fourth to bring the Bishops within 3-1, and drove in another run in the top of the sixth to make it a 3-2 game, but Ripon broke the game open with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning.

Senior outfielder Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) had an RBI single to highlight Ohio Wesleyan's 2-run eighth inning.

Burnett led the Bishop offense with 3 hits and 3 RBI.

Dunn was charged with the loss. Junior lefthander Mike Grady (North Canton/Hoover), freshman lefthander Josh Nice (Hinckley/Highland), junior righthander Byron Lowe (Medford, Mass./Cambridge Ridge), freshman righthander Billy Kampmann (Blairstown, N.J./Blair Academy), freshman lefthander Aaron Kovach (Cleveland/Benedictine) and senior righthander Seth Tenpenny (Powell/Worthington Kilbourne) also pitched for Ohio Wesleyan.
