Slippery Rock 2, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Jennifer Kress scored with 1:23 left in the first overtime to lift Slippery Rock over Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference play on Sunday at the Henry Street Field.

The Rock got on the scoreboard with 29:33 left in the first half when Sami Griffith set up Nikki Hess for a goal.

Ohio Wesleyan evened the game midway through the period with an unassisted goal by sophomore forward Ann Capute (Easton, Md.)

Kress' game-winning goal was assisted by Griffith.

Sophomore goalkeeper Liz Stone (Deep River, Conn./Valley Regional) finished with 6 saves for Ohio Wesleyan. Kristin Sands had 5 saves for Slippery Rock. The Rock outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 14-8, while the Bishops collected 6 penalty corners to 5 for Slippery Rock.
