Wittenberg 6, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Oct. 29, 2002

Sophomore midfielder Meredith Bynum (Winston-Salem, N.C./Forsyth Country Day) scored to give the Bishops a 1-0 lead, but Wittenberg came back with 4 goals from Emily Duh to defeat the Bishops in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Tuesday at Springfield.

Bynum's unassisted goal came in the 10th minute. Wittenberg tied the game in the 20th minute on Duh's first goal, then took the lead 10 minutes later on another Duh goal. Duh completed the natural hat trick with :12 left in the first half, giving the Tigers a 3-1 halftime lead.

Duh scored her fourth goal of the game 13 minutes into the second half and Blair Ufer and Sarah Wallace added goals to wrap up the scoring.

Sophomore goalkeeper Liz Stone (Deep River, Conn./Valley Regional) made 18 saves for Ohio Wesleyan. Jen Meyer was credited with 1 save for the Tigers. Wittenberg outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 41-4, and had 9 penalty corners to none for the Bishops.
