4th of 17 at Denison Invitational

Junior Chad Poling (Delaware/Hayes) won medalist honors to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Denison Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Granville Golf Club.

Wooster won the tournament with a 612. Denison and Muskingum shared second place, each with a 617, and Ohio Wesleyan finished in fourth place at 619, followed by Olivet (621), DePauw (623), Anderson (630), Franklin (633) and Baldwin-Wallace (637). Wittenberg rounded out the top 10 with a 639, followed by Manchester (654), Kenyon (656), Mount Union and Case Reserve (663), John Carroll and Capital (670) and Heidelberg (720).

Poling won individual honors with a 144, shooting back-to-back 72s. Senior Jay Tilton (Cincinnati/Winton Woods) finished in a tie for 16th place at 155, freshman Justin Schroeder (Shelby) tied for 31st place at 159, junior Adam Pry (Bucyrus/Shelby) tied for 42nd place at 161 and senior Jeremy Meade (Wayland, Mass.) tied for 62nd place at 164.
