15th of 17 at Wolverine Invitational

Junior Chad Poling (Delaware/Hayes) fired a 74 to lead the Bishops in the third round of the Wolverine Invitational tournament hosted by the University of Michigan on Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The tournament's first and second rounds were played on Saturday.

Michigan State and Xavier were declared co-champions of the tournament after both finished with a score of 861. Miami finished in third place at 866, followed by Indiana in fourth at 873 and St. John's in fifth place at 876. Wisconsin and Iowa (877), Ball State (880), Michigan (881), Eastern Michigan (886), William & Mary (892), Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis (893), North Carolina-Greensboro (896), Eastern Kentucky (902), Ohio Wesleyan (908), Seton Hall (909) and Ohio (910) rounded out the team scores.

Poling was tied for 23rd place among individuals at 220. Senior Jeremy Meade (Wayland, Mass.) tied for 61st place with a 228, senior Jay Tilton (Cincinnati/Winton Woods) finished in a 65th-place tie at 229, junior Adam Pry (Bucyrus/Shelby) finished 76th with a 232 and senior Jonathan Wilson (Dayton/Vandalia Butler) placed 88th at 239.
