Eastern Kentucky raced to a 55-26 halftime lead and went on to defeat the Bishops in non-conference action on Saturday in Richmond, Ky.

The Colonels hit 57 percent from the field in the first half and shot 55.8 percent from the field during the game.

Junior center Travis Schwab (Medina) led the Bishops with 20 points and 7 rebounds.

Jon Bentley led the Colonels with a career-high 23 points and 8 rebounds and went 10-for-12 from the field. Shawn Fields added 18 points and Kenyatta Dix canned a career-best 17 points. Champ Slaughter hit 8 of 9 shots from the field for a career-high 16 points, while Matt Witt had 11 points and 6 assists. Ben Rushing led the Colonels with 7 assists.
