13th of 14 at Case Reserve Sudeck Invitational

Sophomore Bill Bedford (Strongsville/Strongsville) led the Bishops at the Bill Sudeck Invitational meet hosted by Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Case Reserve won the meet with 35 points to 69 for runner-up Mount Union. John Carroll was third with 119 points and Baldwin-Wallace placed fourth with 132 points. Muskingum (151), Wooster (159), Findlay (162), Grove City (174), Oberlin (263), Fredonia State (271), Hiram (282), Allegheny (286), Ohio Wesleyan (353) and Lake Erie (470) completed the team scores.

Bedford finished 44th in a time of 29:11. Senior Michael Clinton (Troy, Mich.) followed in 65th place in 30:04, senior Matt Mead (Dunkirk, N.Y./Fredonia Central) placed 99th in 31:32, sophomore Mark Selby (Canton, Mass./Thayer Academy) was 136th in 34:24 and sophomore Tom Woodcock (Louisville, Ky./St. Francis) completed the Bishop scoring with a 137th-place finish in 34:28.
