10th of 10 at GLCA meet

Sophomore Bill Bedford (Strongsville/Strongsville) led the Bishops at the Great Lakes Colleges Association meet hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier.

DePauw won the meet with 38 points to 56 for runner-up Kenyon. Albion was third with 78 points and Denison placed fourth with 148 points. Wooster (151), Wabash (154), Oberlin (170), Earlham (177), Kalamazoo (250) and Ohio Wesleyan (256) completed the team scores.

Bedford finished 43rd in a time of 30:41. Senior Michael Clinton (Troy, Mich.) followed in 49th place in 31:12, senior Matt Mead (Dunkirk, N.Y./Fredonia Central) placed 73rd in 33:06, sophomore Tom Woodcock (Louisville, Ky./St. Francis) was 77th in 33:13 and sophomore Mark Selby (Canton, Mass./Thayer Academy) completed the Bishop scoring with an 83rd-place finish in 35:04.
