Sophomore Bill Bedford (Strongsville/Strongsville) led the Bishops at the Cardinal Invitational on Saturday at Otterbein.

Mount Union won the meet with 28 points to 39 for runner-up Otterbein. Baldwin-Wallace was third with 92 points and John Carroll and Muskingum tied for fourth with 100 points apiece. Ohio Wesleyan (187), OSU-Newark (223) and Capital (232) completed the team scores.

Bedford finished 37th in a time of 28:43.5. Sophomore Tom Woodcock (Louisville, Ky./St. Francis) finished 46th in 29:34.8, senior Michael Clinton (Troy, Mich.) was 48th in 29:42.8, senior Matt Mead (Dunkirk, N.Y./Fredonia Central) placed 58th in 30:20.7 and sophomore Mark Selby (Canton, Mass./Thayer Academy) completed the Bishop scoring with a 78th-place finish in 33:37.0.
