Sophomore
Bill Bedford (Strongsville/Strongsville) led
the Bishops at the North Coast Athetic Conference championship meet on
Saturday at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs. The meet was hosted
by Wittenberg University.
Allegheny won the NCAC championship with 47 points to 49 for runner-up
Kenyon. Denison finished in third place with 112 points, followed by Wabash
(126), Wooster (129), Oberlin (140), Earlham (151), Hiram (181), Wittenberg
(256) and Ohio Wesleyan (264).
Bedford
finished 44th in a time of 28:13. Sophomore Paul Loehle (Fairfield/Hamilton
Badin) followed in 55th place in 28:43, sophomore Tom Woodcock (Louisville,
Ky./St. Francis) placed 58th in 28:49, senior Michael Clinton (Troy, Mich.)
was 67th in 29:13 and senior Matt Mead (Dunkirk, N.Y./Fredonia Central)
completed the Bishop scoring with an 80th-place finish in 30:17.
