Defending NCAA Division III champion Ithaca manufactured a run in the top of the fourth inning and held on to nip Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action on Friday in Orlando, Fla.

In the fourth, the Bombers had their leadoff batter reach on a single. After a sacrifice moved the runner to second base, the go-ahead run scored on a single and a Bishop throwing error.

Ohio Wesleyan collected 2 hits in the game, those coming off the bats of freshman shortstop Tiffany Stinemetz (Marysville/North Union) and freshman third baseman Amy Mazur (Elyria).

Senior righthander Emily Thornton (Columbus/Watterson) worked the complete game and was charged with the loss.
