Ohio Wesleyan 13, Worcester Polytechnic 3

Senior righthander Tyler Mott (Grove City) pitched 7 strong innings and senior shortstop Shaun Burchett (Plain City/Jonathan Alder) collected 3 hits to spark the Bishops over Worcester Polytechnic on Friday at Fort Myers, Fla.

Mott had a perfect game through 5 innings and a no-hitter through 6 before the Engineers collected 4 hits and 2 runs in the seventh. Sophomore righthander Bryan Popa (Akron/Revere) pitched a scoreless eighth and sophomore righthander Neil Smiley (Cincinnati/Wyoming) pitched the ninth.

Burchett had a triple and a double to highlight a 3-for-5 effort at the plate. Sophomore shortstop Brandon Williams (Dublin/Coffman), sophomore outfielder Adam Toney (Galloway/Westland), freshman shortstop Kyle Sherman (Plain City/Dublin Scioto) and freshman first baseman Tom Bottichio (Mason) each added 2 hits.
