Ohio Wesleyan 16, Dickinson 8

Sophomore shortstop Brandon Williams (Dublin/Coffman) and senior third baseman Andy Busch (Westerville/South) drove in 3 runs apiece as Ohio Wesleyan overcame a 7-0 deficit and went on to top Dickinson in non-conference play on Saturday at Fort Myers, Fla.

The Red Devils touched sophomore righthander Adam Dunn (Westerville/Worthington Christian) for 6 runs in the first, with Greg Terebetski and Jeff Fischer each collecting 2-run hits. Terebetski drove in a run in the top of the second with a sacrifice fly to make the score 7-0.

That lead didn't last long as Ohio Wesleyan erupted for 6 runs for the bottom of the inning. Busch and Williams each had 2-run singles to highlight the frame. Busch and Williams also drove in runs during the Bishops' 4-run third that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay. Senior outfielder Mike Albert (Shelby) had a 2-run single in the inning.

Ohio Wesleyan added 3 more runs in the bottom of the fifth, with junior outfielder Ryan Strasburg (Oak Hill, Va./Oakton) lashing a 2-run triple.

Busch was 3-for-5 and scored 3 runs, while Albert, Williams, junior catcher Paul Suhar (Canfield) and sophomore outfielder Adam Toney (Galloway/Westland) each had 2 hits for the Bishops.

Dunn worked the first 6.0 innings allowing 4 earned runs and striking out 3 while walking none. Sophomore righthander Michael Krieger (Boardman) pitched 2-hit ball over the final 3.0 innings to collect his first save of the season.
