Earlham 2, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Rebecca Aldred and Logan Fitzpatrick scored first-half goals that staked Earlham to a 2-0 lead and the Quakers held on for a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Thursday at the Henry Street Field.

Aldred and Fitzpatrick, the top 2 scorers in the NCAC, each struck quickly. Aldred put Earlham on the scoreboard just over 4 minutes into the game with a goal off a Quaker corner. Three minutes later, Fitzpatrick made it 2-0 with a rebound goal. Kailynn Kitaji was credited with an assist on the play.

Ohio Wesleyan closed to within 2-1 midway through the first half when sophomore attacker Taneen Legree (Christiana, Pa./Octorara) scored from in traffic around the Earlham cage.

Earlham outshot the Bishops, 8-3. Junior Liz Stone (Deep River, Conn./Valley Regional) made 2 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan cage. Catherine Chow had 2 saves for Earlham.
