Senior
Chad Poling (Delaware/Hayes) won medalist honors to lead Ohio Wesleyan
at the Wooster Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Wooster Country
Club.
Otterbein
won the tournament with a 608, edging Ohio Wesleyan by 5 shots. Denison
finished in third place at 621, followed by Baldwin-Wallace (624), Wittenberg
(629), Olivet (632), DePauw (635) Wooster and John Carroll (636), Hope
(657), Mount Union (661), Ohio Northern (662), Hiram (673), Kenyon (678),
Capital (694), Heidelberg (697) and Oberlin (720).
Poling finished with a 146 to take medalist honors by 2 shots. It marked
the third consecutive tournament in which Poling won medalist honors.
He won the Muskingum Invitational with a school-record 137 on March 26-27,
then won medalist honors in a playoff after finishing with a 145 at the
Denison Invitational on April 9-10.
Senior Adam Pry (Bucyrus/Shelby) tied for seventh place at 154, senior
Joe Loudenslager (Hilliard/Darby) tied for 16th place at 157, sophomore
Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) tied for 26th place with
a 159 and sophomore Justin Schroeder (Shelby) tied for 32nd place at 160.
