4th of 12 at Gordin Collegiate Classic

Senior Chad Poling (Delaware/Hayes) and sophomore Justin Schroeder (Shelby) led Ohio Wesleyan at the annual Gordin Collegiate Classic on Sunday and Monday at Deer Track Golf Resort in Surfside Beach, S.C.

St. John's won the tournament with a 577, topping second-place Gustavus Adolphus by 11 shots. Methodist was third with a 589, with Ohio Wesleyan in fourth place at 590. Wisconsin-Eau Claire was fifth at 594, followed by Emory (599), Central (599), Denison (601), Greensboro (602), Wesley (609), Oglethorpe (613) and Averett (628).

Poling and Schroeder each carded a 144 to tie for fifth place among individuals. Senior Adam Pry (Bucyrus/Shelby) tied for 19th place at 149, sophomore Andrew McIlroy (Columbus/Upper Arlington) tied for 36th place with a 153 and junior Brandon Bytnar (Monclova/Anthony Wayne) finished in a tie for 53rd place with a 159.
