Ohio Wesleyan 65, Gettysburg 53

Junior wing Kelly Heil (Sylvania/Southview) scored 25 points to lead Ohio Wesleyan over Gettysburg in third-round action of the Marymount Tip-Off Classic on Sunday in Arlington, Va.

The win clinched third place in the tournament for the Battling Bishops, while Gettysburg placed fifth in the 8-team field.

Ohio Wesleyan raced to a 40-24 halftime lead, holding Gettysburg to 28.6 percent (10 of 35) shooting from the field.

Freshman post Tifini Ray (Hilliard/Davidson) followed Heil's effort with 15 points and junior post Erica Brizendine (Grove City) added 12 points and led the Bishops with 15 rebounds. Senior guard Krystal Sensabaugh (Wapakoneta) led the Bishops with 8 assists.

Jen Bengel led Gettysburg with 19 points and 17 rebounds.

Heil represented the Bishops on the all-tournament team.
