5th of 10 at Ohio Northern Invitational

Senior Leah Cressman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) led the Bishops at the Polar Bear Invitational, hosted by Ohio Northern on Saturday at Hawthorne Hills Country Club in Lima.

Denison won the meet with 30 points to 42 for runner-up Mount Union. Ohio Northern was third with 82 points, followed by Wooster (131), Ohio Wesleyan (153), Albion (171), Kenyon (215), Oberlin (222), Wittenberg (240) and Mount St. Joseph (241).

Cressman finished in 20th place among individuals, covering the 6-kilometer course in a time of 24:16.21. Senior Liz Tullberg (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) placed 23rd in 24:25.53, freshman Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) was 25th in 24:47.18, sophomore Meggie Feran (Kirtland) finished 49th in 25:35.64 and freshman Jillian Snyder (Lakewood) completed the Bishop scoring with a 54th-place finish in 25:44.42.

Freshman Wendy Farrell (Fremont/Ross) finished 73rd in 26:29.90 and junior Erin Eilbeck (Berea) was 74th in 26:33.65.
