Senior
Leah Cressman (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) won All-North Coast Athletic
Conference honors in leading the Bishops at the NCAC championship meet
on Saturday at the Wooster Country Club.
Denison won the meet with 32 points to 37 for runner-up Allegheny. Kenyon
was third with 102 points, followed by Wooster (113), Ohio Wesleyan (147),
Oberlin (179), Earlham (181), Wittenberg (196) and Hiram (249).
The fifth-place finish was the Bishops' best since 1993, when Ohio Wesleyan
also finished fifth. It breaks a string of 5 consecutive last-place finishes
in the conference championship meet.
Cressman finished in 16th place among individuals,
covering the 5-kilometer course in a time of 19:59. Senior Liz Tullberg
(Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) placed 23rd in 20:25, freshman
Amanda Husted (Springfield/Greenon) was 30th in 20:46, sophomore Meggie
Feran (Kirtland) finished 38th in 21:21 and freshman Jillian Snyder (Lakewood)
completed the Bishop scoring with a 40th-place finish in 21:33.
Freshman Laura Bange (Cincinnati/St. Ursula) placed 46th in 22:13 and
freshman Andrea Minich (Plymouth/Willard) was 74th in 26:33.65.
