Albion 14, Ohio Wesleyan 2

Junior shortstop Brandon Williams (Dublin/Coffman) slammed a solo homer to give the Bishops an early 1-0 lead, but Albion came back to hand Ohio Wesleyan its first loss of the season in non-conference action on Sunday at Littick Field.

Williams' blast to left center off Albion starter Jon Hastings gave the Bishops a 1-0 lead with one out in the bottom of the first.

Albion pulled ahead in the second, tying the game on an RBI ground out by Barrett Henson before Rich Englemann sliced an RBI single down the rightfield line to give the Britons a 2-1 lead. Albion added a run in the third on Matt Cook's RBI single and tacked on 3 more in the fifth on RBI hits by Nate Hawley, Chris Trott and Cook.

Ohio Wesleyan scored in the seventh on a walk to sophomore second baseman Kyle Sherman (Plain City/Dublin Scioto) and a pinch-hit RBI double by senior outfielder Clint Evans (Delaware/Olentangy).

Sophomore first baseman Steve Toneatti (Ramsey, N.J./St. Stephen's Episcopal) had 2 hits to spearhead the Ohio Wesleyan offense.

Junior righthander Adam Dunn (Westerville/Worthington Christian) was the starting and losing pitcher for Ohio Wesleyan.

Hastings pitched the first 7.0 innings to pick up the win for Albion.
