Wittenberg took a 2-0 halftime lead and went on to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Wednesday in Springfield.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute when Katy Barrett scored off a Blair Ufer assist on a penalty corner.

Ufer made it 2-0 with another goal off a penalty corner with 2:43 left in the first half. Rachel Dunn and Carrie Happ were given assists on the play.

Sarah Wallace made it 3-0 in the first minute of the second half, and Dunn and Ufer added goals off penalty corners in the closing minutes of regulation time.

Wittenberg outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 25-3. Freshman Katie Jones (Pine Plains, N.Y./Stissing Mountain) had 12 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan cage.
