11th of 18 at Callaway Collegiate Invitational

March 7-8, 2005

Junior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) led the Bishops at the Callaway Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Huntingdon College on Monday and Tuesday at Pine Mountain, Ga.

Methodist won the tournament with a 598, defeating runner-up Oglethorpe by 9 shots. Greensboro was third with a 608, followed by LaGrange (612), Lee (617), Mobile (618), Texas Lutheran (619), Huntingdon (625) and Berry (627). Rhodes rounded out the top 10 with a 640, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (641), California Lutheran and Mary Hardin-Baylor (645), LeTourneau (647), Piedmont (662), Louisiana College (689), Fontbonne (698) and Mississippi College (710).

Schroeder tied for 27th place among individuals with a 156. Junior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) finished in a tie for 34th place with a 158, freshman Jeff Tynik (Glen Rock, N.J./Don Bosco) tied for 51st place at 163, freshman Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) tied for 54th place with a 164 and junior Andrew McIlroy (Columbus/Upper Arlington) tied for 70th place at 168.
