2nd of 16 at Muskingum Invitational

March 25-26, 2005

Junior Andrew McIlroy (Columbus/Upper Arlington) led the Bishops at the Muskingum Invitational, played on Friday and Saturday at Eaglesticks Golf Course in Zanesville.

Otterbein won the tournament with a 569, defeating the Bishops by 5 strokes. Ohio Wesleyan's total of 574 set a school record for 36 holes, breaking the mark of 576 set at the Muskingum Invitational in 2001.

Hope and Muskingum tied for third place at 589, followed by DePauw (591), Transylvania (595), Wooster (600), Wittenberg (611), Denison and Hamilton (615), Mount Union (621), Baldwin-Wallace (625), Calvin (637), Ohio Northern (651), Wilmington (655) and Capital (682).

McIlroy tied for third place among individuals with a 140, tying the second-lowest 36-hole individual total in school history.

Junior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) tied for sixth place at 142, junior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) finished in 16th place with a 145, freshman Jeff Tynik (Glen Rock, N.J./Don Bosco) tied for 19th place at 147 and freshman Rory Hotaling (Yellow Springs) tied for 72nd place with a 161.
