3rd of 14 at Denison Invitational

Junior Doug McCullough (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./St. Edward) led the Bishops at the Denison Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday in Granville.

Otterbein won the tournament with a 2-day total of 595, 7 shots ahead of Southwestern and 10 shots ahead of the Battling Bishops. DePauw and Wittenberg tied for fourth place at 610, followed by Denison (613); Wooster, Baldwin-Wallace and John Carroll (621); Muskingum (624), Mount Union (636), Wilmington (658), Kenyon (669) and Capital (681).

McCullough finished third in the individual standings with a 4-over-par 146. Junior Justin Schroeder (Shelby) tied for 17th place at 151, junior Andrew McIlroy (Columbus/Upper Arlington) tied for 23rd place with a 153, junior Paul Bertoli (Concord, Mass./Concord-Carlisle) tied for 35th place at 157 and freshman Jeff Tynik (Glen Rock, N.J./Don Bosco) finished in a tie for 39th place at 158.
